Bacalar, Quintana Roo — A teacher at a local high school was hospitalized in Bacalar on Tuesday morning after suffering food poisoning from chilaquiles he ate for breakfast.
The incident occurred at the Colegio de Bachilleres campus in the municipal seat during breakfast hours. It remains unclear whether paramedics or school staff transported the teacher to Bacalar Hospital.
Unofficial reports indicate the teacher works the afternoon shift, teaching Tourism and Accounting classes.
Hospital sources confirmed the poisoning resulted from the chilaquiles the educator consumed. Nurses evaluated and medicated him immediately, though his current condition is unknown.
Municipal police officers have been notified of the incident.
