Accident in José María Morelos
A serious accident was recorded on Sunday morning on the Dziuché–Tihosuco junction state highway, Bulukax-Tabasquito section, where no injuries were reported but there was a total loss of the vehicle, a taxi from the Sindicato de Taxis Tiburones de Tulum.
According to data collected at the scene of the incident, the vehicle was traveling from east to west on the mentioned highway when, apparently, one of the tires blew out. The operator, trying to avoid leaving the asphalt, maneuvered, but given the speed at which the taxi was traveling, it left the road and slid in reverse, hitting against bushes until it was destroyed within the brush, about two meters from the highway.
The operator of the vehicle said he had left very early from Tepich, in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, and was heading to San Felipe Primero, but he could no longer reach his destination.
In the vehicle were the driver and a passenger, but neither was injured. The operator only said he had slightly hit his forehead.
Police stationed in the town of Dziuché arrived at the accident scene to collect data on the events, but the wrecked vehicle cannot be moved until the insurance arrives.
