Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo — A dramatic rollover accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, January 29, on Federal Highway 307, on the Tulum-Playa del Carmen stretch, when the driver of a taxi lost control of the vehicle while crossing the Puerto Aventuras bridge.
The taxi, with economic number 1390 and belonging to the Playa-Valladolid route, fell from a low height in the south-to-north direction, ending up overturned on the side of the alternate roadway. The vehicle was affiliated with the “Lázaro Cárdenas del Río” union.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and assessed one injured person, who was urgently transported to a hospital.
Elements of the National Guard’s Highway Division were notified of the incident and confirmed the total loss of the vehicle. The taxi was towed to an impound lot for the determination of responsibilities.
