Tanit de María Valerio Wins Isla Mujeres Singing Contest ‘Cántale a México con el Corazón’

Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — Tanit de María Valerio Romo won first place in the fourth edition of the singing competition “Cántale a México con el Corazón,” held at the municipal esplanade in Isla Mujeres.

Municipal President Atenea Gómez Ricalde led the event and joined local families for the grand final, where contestants who reached the last stage of the competition performed before the audience and a judging panel.

Valerio Romo took the top prize of a motorcycle and 10,000 pesos in cash. Ángel Amaya Díaz finished second, earning 10,000 pesos, while the duo Bardo y Karly placed third with a prize of 7,000 pesos.

Gómez Ricalde congratulated the finalists and recognized the effort of all participants who took part in the earlier rounds of the competition.

“Everyone who stepped onto this stage showed us the enormous talent that exists in Isla Mujeres,” she said. “We want to keep opening spaces where our voices can be heard, where our talents can grow, and where families can enjoy this kind of event together.”

The final also featured a performance by the band Cancuncito, adding live music to an evening dedicated to celebrating local talent.

Gómez Ricalde said “Cántale a México con el Corazón” has become a platform for discovering and promoting new voices while offering free cultural and artistic activities for island families.

The fourth edition closed by honoring not only the top finishers but all participants who shared their talent, preparation and passion for music with the community across the various rounds.
