Playa del Carmen — A press conference held this morning at the Wyndham Garden Hotel served as the official presentation for the social and sporting event "Swim and Ride Pink 2025," an initiative aimed at raising community awareness and funds for the CREER Foundation, an institution dedicated to the comprehensive care of people with breast cancer.

The Swim and Ride Pink initiative was created to promote a culture of sports, health, and community unity, with the funds raised being directed to the multidisciplinary support programs—such as psychological, medical, and social support—offered by the CREER Foundation to patients diagnosed with cancer.

The Swim and Ride Pink 2025 event will take place on October 18 and 19, coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The activities on both days will commence at 7:00 a.m.

Psychologist Andrea Uranga García, president of the CREER Foundation, stated, "Every stroke swum and every pedal turned in this event represents an act of solidarity and hope. The funds raised will allow more women and men facing cancer to have access to specialized accompaniment and support."

The general coordinators, Mirza Ortega Jiménez and Flor Hernández Ávila, emphasized that this project seeks not only to promote sports but also to strengthen social awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection of breast cancer. The organization invites the sporting community of Playa del Carmen to participate.

Registration for Swim and Ride Pink 2025 represents a gesture of direct support for those currently fighting this disease. Registrations are now open and available online through the social media channels of the CREER Foundation and Swim and Ride Pink, with a donation of 650 pesos that includes an official kit with a commemorative t-shirt.

Regarding logistics, the start and finish lines will be designed to ensure safety and accessibility for all participants. Furthermore, official social media channels will remain the primary means for announcing calls for participation, updates, and event details.

During this meeting, the CREER Foundation also presented the results of its second year of operation, highlighting that thanks to community support, socially responsible businesses, and cause-driven events like Swim and Ride Pink, it has been possible to save lives by paying for chemotherapy treatments and to offer comprehensive accompaniment to cancer patients who have benefited, primarily female patients from Playa del Carmen.

The press conference featured the presence of distinguished personalities who formed the presidium table, including Psychologist Andrea Uranga García, president of the CREER Foundation; Dr. Raúl Díaz, Medical Oncologist for the CREER Foundation; Mirza Ortega Jiménez, General Coordinator for Swim and Ride Pink; Flor Hernández Ávila, General Coordinator for Swim and Ride Pink; Sandy Casillas, Sales Director of the Wyndham Garden Hotel; and Mayra Jiménez, Ambassador for Swim and Ride Pink.
