Playa del Carmen, Mexico — A violent incident occurred in the upscale Mayakoba residential complex, where an employee of a Seven Eleven store was found dead after being stabbed multiple times. According to official reports, the victim suffered more than 15 wounds from a sharp weapon.
Discovery in Storage Area
The discovery was made on Friday morning in the store’s storage area, where a coworker found the victim lying on the floor with clear signs of violence. Paramedics who responded to the scene confirmed the individual showed no vital signs, ruling out any possibility of resuscitation.
While authorities have not yet provided clear details about the motive behind the crime, preliminary reports suggest the victim had been drinking alcoholic beverages with others inside the store before the murder. This unconfirmed version has led to speculation about a possible altercation, though officials have not officially endorsed this line of investigation.
Uncommon Violence in Secure Area
The Mayakoba complex is known for its exclusivity and high security, making this violent incident particularly alarming for residents and workers in the area. Such crimes are rare in this location, raising concerns among the community.
The State Attorney General’s Office has launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the crime and identify those responsible.
