The Primary Care Center (CAPS) in Solidaridad's 28 de Julio neighborhood has recently added a mammography machine to its facilities. Mayor Lili Campos confirmed this during a recent tour of the center. She stated that the machine will soon be available to provide free services to women who need it.
Mayor Campos also noted that the current administration has already provided free mammography screenings to several hundred women. Every Tuesday, the Municipal DIF assists these women by providing transportation to Cancun for this crucial test, which identifies abnormalities in breast tissue.
The mammography machine is now installed at the Solidaridad Women's Primary Health Care Center in the 28 de Julio neighborhood. A specialist is currently conducting tests for internal and external radiation calibration. Once this process is complete, the machine will be fully operational and the service will be provided entirely free of charge.
In addition to the new mammography machine, the CAPS 28 de Julio facility has recently undergone renovations to improve its services. These improvements include better access to general consultation, dental care, psychological services, nutrition control, and sanitation services.
Following the tour of the CAPS 28 de Julio facility, the authorities visited the CAPS in Villas del Sol. Here, they inspected the ongoing maintenance work, including floor installation, roof waterproofing, painting, lighting, and the procurement of equipment for the laboratory and processing area.
