TULUM, MX. – The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Quintana Roo reported that it obtained, in separate rulings, the formal charging of six individuals for their probable involvement in crimes against health in the modality of drug trafficking, following coordinated operations carried out in the municipalities of Tulum and Puerto Morelos.
In the first case, a Control Judge deemed the detention of Alejandra “N” and José Bernabé “N” legal. They were apprehended by municipal police in coordination with investigative agents from the Attorney General’s Office in the locality of Uh May, in Tulum. Based on the evidence presented by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, both were formally charged with drug trafficking in the variant of marijuana possession.
In a second matter, which occurred in Puerto Morelos, the judicial authority formally charged José Gabriel “N” and Antony Emanuel “N” with drug trafficking in the modality of supply, as well as Sayir Aurelius “N” and Jhonatan Alberto “N” with simple possession of narcotics.
As a precautionary measure, the Control Judge imposed justified preventive detention on José Gabriel “N”, Antony Emanuel “N”, and Sayir Aurelius “N”, which they must serve for the duration of the judicial process against them. (With information from the Attorney General’s Office of the State)
