Cancún, Mexico — The Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office announced that seven people have been formally charged in connection with alleged drug offenses following separate court hearings in the municipalities of Benito Juárez, which includes Cancún, and Puerto Morelos.
In an initial hearing in Benito Juárez, a judge ordered Marco Antonio “N” to stand trial for drug dealing, specifically for possession with intent to supply cannabis and methamphetamine.
In the same municipality, the court imposed pre-trial detention on Francisco Javier “N”, David “N”, and María Juanita “N” for their alleged involvement in drug dealing, also for possession with intent to supply marijuana.
Carlos Alberto “N” and Ernesto “N”, who were detained in Benito Juárez, were ordered to stand trial for supplying cannabis and cocaine. The judge also imposed pre-trial detention for the duration of the judicial process.
In Puerto Morelos, Fernando “N” was formally charged with simple possession of cannabis sativa and methamphetamine. The judge also ordered him held in pre-trial detention.
