Playa del Carmen, Mexico — An armed attack shortly before midnight against the No Name bar left a security guard injured.
Police officers arrived at the location on Juárez Avenue after being alerted by witnesses and area residents around 11:30 p.m.
According to initial information, two individuals on a motorcycle arrived at the establishment and, without saying a word, fired their weapons at the bar, discharging at least six rounds.
One of the bullets struck the calf of a security guard who was at the entrance of the bar.
Paramedics arrived shortly after to provide care to the injured person, who was transported by emergency to a hospital.
The area was cordoned off by police officers while experts from the State Attorney General’s Office collected evidence to open an investigation file.
So far, police authorities have not reported any arrests related to this violent incident.
