Mérida, Yucatán — Search groups from other states across Mexico will join the search for teacher Mirna del Socorro Barrera Vera, who disappeared on December 9.
Lizette Arceo Barrera, mother of the missing woman, reported that the search file for Mrs. Mirna is being shared with the states of Quintana Roo, Campeche, Tabasco, and Chiapas.
She stated that search groups from the aforementioned states will join the search for Mrs. Mirna as a show of support and solidarity.
“The objective is to extend the search for my mother nationwide. She was last seen through a camera of the Va y Ven transportation system in the El Porvenir neighborhood at Anillo Periférico, in western Mérida,” she said.
She indicated that family members and volunteers continue searching in the streets of the Juan Pablo II and Mulsay subdivisions, as well as in Mérida’s comisarías and subcomisarías.
She commented that brigades posted flyers on poles at the 128 x Avenida Xoclán bus stop, Avenida 41 de Juan Pablo x 20 and 20 A, at the Santos Lugo roundabout, and at the Ahorro pharmacy in Juan Pablo II, reaching as far as the SSP station at the Tanil bridge in Umán, at the entrance/exit to Campeche.
“22 days… waking up at dawn unable to sleep… questions without answers; but I will continue for you!!! Until I find you,” shared Lizette Arceo Barrera.
