Tourist Café “Francesa” Targeted in Drive-By Shooting

A local café in the Zazil-Ha district, a popular tourist area, was the target of a drive-by shooting this afternoon. The café, known as "Francesa", was attacked around 7 PM. Police officers arrived on the scene minutes later, at the intersection of 10th Avenue and 42nd Street.

Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants were on a motorcycle when they fired shots at the café. The building's facade was left with four bullet holes. The café's owners stated they were unsure why they were targeted. They further denied any allegations that the attack was a response to their refusal to pay a "protection fee".

Forensic Services arrived shortly after the incident to collect evidence, including the spent bullet casings found outside the café. Despite a swift police response and subsequent operation in the area, there have been no arrests reported in connection with the incident.
