Mérida, Yucatán — The third edition of Run & Coffee Mérida 2026 will take place on April 26, blending physical activity with coffee culture in a community event expected to draw approximately 600 participants.
The race will start at 6:00 a.m. from Mosaico Itzimná coffee shop and finish at Itzimná Park, with routes passing through several of the city’s main avenues.
Race Distances and Categories
Organizer Daniel Coral Muñoz announced the event will feature three main activities:
- 5-kilometer race
- 10-kilometer race
- Recreational walk
Categories for both men’s and women’s divisions are themed around coffee:
- Verde (Green): 14-17 years
- Intenso (Intense): 18-23 years
- Espresso: 24-29 years
- Latte: 30-39 years
- Cappuccino: 40-49 years
- Americano: 50+ years
- Walk: “Descafeinado” (Decaffeinated)
Race Route Details
The course will include Cupules, Colón, Reforma, and Alemán avenues, along with streets in the Itzimná neighborhood. For the 5-kilometer distance, the turnaround point will be near La Pigua area and the International Congress Center.
The route is designed to provide a dynamic circuit combining emblematic city areas with accessible spaces for participants.
Event Details and Kit Distribution
The competition will award prizes to the top three finishers in each category, with special recognition for overall winners in each division.
Race kits will be distributed on April 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. during The Coffee Summit at the Uxmal Hall of the Siglo XXI Convention Center.
