Playa del Carmen — The state leader of the Green Party in Quintana Roo, Renán Sánchez Tajonar, led the inauguration of the Casa Verde Playa del Carmen, a space that will become a meeting point and support center for local families.

During the event, the party leader recognized Fernando Muñoz, the municipal leader, for his youth, enthusiasm, and commitment to the Green Party family in Playa del Carmen, highlighting that his leadership has strengthened the party's structure in the city and consolidated its growth in the region.

This new space will provide legal advice, medical attention, and community workshops, with the goal of strengthening closeness with the people and offering real solutions to the families of Playa del Carmen.

In his address, Renán Sánchez Tajonar thanked the efforts of the party membership and underscored that this project is the result of teamwork.

"This achievement is thanks to the effort of the great Green family of Playa del Carmen, especially the women who are the engine of our movement. The best women of Playa del Carmen are in the Green family, and this Casa Verde is for you. Take care of it as your common home, because it is born from work, unity, and love for your community," he said.

Also participating in the event were federal deputy Juan Carrillo, local deputy María José Osorio, and councilwomen Anaiza Quian and Xelha Dehesa, who reaffirmed their support for the Green Party's community projects for the benefit of Playa del Carmen families.

Renán Sánchez Tajonar also recognized the women leaders who inspire with their work.

"A big round of applause for the President of Mexico, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum, for her firm, humane work with a social vision; for our Governor Mara Lezama, for transforming the state with affection and justice; and for a great friend of Playa del Carmen, Municipal President Estefanía Mercado, for her commitment and affection for the people of Playa del Carmen," he stated.

The state leader emphasized that the Green Party in Quintana Roo is now a national example, having grown from 11,000 to more than 50,000 affiliates in 2025, consolidating itself as the second political force in the state.

"We are the party that has grown the most, and that is thanks to your effort. We are stronger than ever, with a presence in every neighborhood and community. The Green Party delivers, because it works with results and with heart," he said.

Finally, Renán Sánchez Tajonar invited the public to make this new space their own.

"The effort is yours, and the Casa Verde is for you. We want the Green Party to be felt and seen on every street, because we are a close, hardworking party that delivers."
