Cancún, Mexico — Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa accompanied individuals who attended the "Toro" Valenzuela sports unit today for the start of registration to access the National Housing Commission's (CONAVI) Vivienda para el Bienestar (Housing for Well-being) program. The registration period will run from September 25 to October 2.
"Thanks to the support of our beloved first President of Mexico, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, through the Vivienda para el Bienestar program, more than 48,000 families who have waited for years for the opportunity to have a home will see that dream come true," the Governor stated at the location.
Accompanied by the head of the Ministry of Territorial, Urban, and Sustainable Development (SEDETUS), José Alberto Alonso Ovando, the Governor listened to the people, including elderly women and men, heads of families, and young people, and resolved some doubts. She specified that the registrations are completely free and without intermediaries.
Mara Lezama reported that the construction of 1,596 homes has begun in the municipalities of Benito Juárez, Tulum, and Othón P. Blanco. "Now we are beginning the registration of applications, and with this, a new hope begins for thousands of families in Quintana Roo," she stated.
In calling on people to register for the CONAVI program, the Governor indicated that the registration desk will be open until October 2, from 9:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon, and each family can attend directly and simply.
"With the backing of the Government of Mexico and the transformative vision of our first President, today we are building a better future for our people, because your well-being and that of your family, of course, matters to us!" Mara Lezama finally expressed.
Also present at the registration were Andrés Madrigal, in charge of the northern zone for CONAVI, and William Jiménez, in charge of the northern zone for the federal government's Secretariat of Well-being.
