Reggae Fest Cancún 2025: Free Music at Playa Langosta

Cancún, QR — The Benito Juárez Municipal Government has presented the fourth edition of Reggae Fest Cancún 2025, which will take place on November 22 at Playa Langosta, featuring the participation of national and international artists.

The event will be free to the public and is scheduled to begin at 3:00 in the afternoon, according to an official press release dated November 11.

The 2025 edition of Reggae Fest Cancún will feature, for the first time, musicians from other countries, including a band from Guatemala and a soloist from Jamaica, considered the birthplace of reggae. The festival maintains its family-friendly character and seeks to promote community gatherings in the tourist destination's public spaces.

Fausto Adrián Palacios, director of Radio Cultural Ayuntamiento (RCA), highlighted that the station will commemorate its 45th anniversary during the event. The station has actively participated in social campaigns, such as "AbueloTón" and "Ayúdale a Santa y los Reyes Magos," in addition to its community work during contingencies and hurricanes, the press release detailed.

On the same day, the Cancún-based group Corpusklan will celebrate 20 years of musical trajectory. Its founder and saxophonist, José Martín "Joselo," stated that the fourth edition of Reggae Fest Cancún 2025 represents the union between civil society and institutional support for local art, which has allowed for the continuity of cultural projects in the city.

Reggae Fest Cancún 2025 to Unite Six Bands with International Presence

The musical program will include the participation of Corpusklan; Paradise Reggae Band from San Francisco Petén, Guatemala; I and I from Yucatán; Somos Uno from Tijuana; the Jamaican artist Oneil Diamond; and Los Buena Vida from Cancún.

An attendance of approximately seven thousand people is expected, according to data from the November 11 press release.

Leopoldo Proal Bustos, Coordinator of Advisors for the Benito Juárez municipal government, emphasized that the festival exemplifies the collaboration between government and society to promote freely accessible cultural activities.

Tourism and Culture Converge at Reggae Fest Cancún 2025

For his part, Miguel Montes de Oca, Director of International Tourism Promotion, indicated that Reggae Fest Cancún 2025 contributes to strengthening the Caribbean identity and the tourist appeal of the destination.

Various municipal departments are participating in its organization, including the Secretariat of Well-being, the Directorate of Culture, the Secretariat of Tourism, and Municipal Public Services.

Reggae Fest Cancún 2025 aims to establish itself as a musical platform that promotes a message of peace, inclusion, and community through reggae, in an open, public environment with a family focus, according to the official press release.
