Cancún, Quintana Roo — The 24th edition of the AMPI Cancún forum, "The Real Estate Future," was inaugurated this Wednesday, bringing together exhibitors, authorities, and businesspeople for a series of activities focused on the sector.

"I am very happy to be here at the AMPI Cancún Real Estate Forum 2025. The truth is we have surpassed all expectations; we have wonderful people, incredible exhibitors, the best developments, great speakers, all the members of AMPI Cancún supporting us, and a great many real estate professionals, investors, and authorities," celebrated Karen Elizabeth Ramos Díaz, president of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI), Cancún chapter.

She highlighted that Cancún is a global brand and that AMPI Cancún is ready to continue projecting Mexico at the highest standards of the global real estate sector. The goal, she said, is for everyone at the forum to gain valuable knowledge, meaningful relationships, strategic alliances, and business opportunities, but above all, the certainty that together they can consolidate an ethical, responsible, and committed real estate sector.

"Remember that great achievements are not reached by luck, but through persistence, vision, strategy, and teamwork. And that is exactly what makes AMPI Cancún great; where others see risk, we see opportunity," she emphasized.

For her part, the national councilor in charge of membership follow-up, Adriana Martínez Vázquez, representing the national president of AMPI, Karim Oviedo, agreed that Cancún is representative at a national and international level and that an objective across the entire country is precisely to increase the number of members.

Currently, there are 7,015 associates, but they aim to close with at least 7,300. She therefore urged members to invite more colleagues who are not in the association to join.

"The sense of belonging that the association gives us is quite important, and not only that, they will receive training. The training we offer is pioneering; there are other associations, yes, but the foundations are proudly AMPI's… we have the best training, we are going to celebrate 70 years of hard work, of being in professionalization," she stated.

The municipal president of Benito Juárez, Ana Patricia Peralta de la Peña, was present during the inauguration. She emphasized the importance of this sector as part of the local economic engine. Also in attendance was José Alberto Alonso Ovando, head of the Ministry of Territorial and Urban Development (Sedetus). He mentioned the work that has been done to register all real estate agents, which increases their recognition and strengthens them.

"We are working to make the sector stronger; we have the highest number of registrations nationally, and that also has the effect that last year we were number one in the country in attracting foreign real estate investment and among the top places in terms of property value appreciation of our developments," the state official pointed out.
