Cancún, MX. — The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office, in coordination with the Benito Juárez Municipal Police, executed a search warrant at the offices of a real estate developer located in a commercial plaza in Supermanzana 15A, as part of an investigation into alleged crimes against urban development.
According to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Environmental, Wildlife, and Urban Development Crimes, the complaint was filed by the head of the municipal Ecology Directorate. Initial investigations indicate that the commercial lot project promoted in the Alfredo V. Bonfil ejido, previously secured by authorities, lacked the required permits, licenses, and authorizations for its construction and commercialization.
Despite this, the company is alleged to have disseminated and offered the lots to the public without the corresponding documentation.
During the search, agents seized documentation related to the project, as well as computers, electronic devices, cameras, recording equipment, propaganda, advertising materials, models, and physical mock-ups.
Following the procedure, the property was secured and placed under the custody of the State Attorney General’s Office, which is maintaining an open investigation.
