Othón P. Blanco, Quintana Roo — The Quintana Roo delegation in Para-swimming had a standout performance on the third day of competitions at the 2025 National Conade Paralympiad, conquering three more medals to bring its total to 18 medals so far in the event. The third day of competitions was held at the Olympic Pool in Aguascalientes.
The positive results for Quintana Roo are the result of the support and backing given to adapted sports through the Quintana Roo Sports Commission (Codeq), presided over by Jacobo Arzate.
The Quintana Roo team has had a strong start to the competition with the medals obtained, thanks to teamwork and the on-the-ground efforts of the swimmers and coaches, along with institutional support.
Regarding the results, during the third day of events, Shaday Hoil claimed the national title in the 100-meter Backstroke, earning the gold medal. With this result, she has now added three medals to her personal tally in the current competition: one gold and two silvers. Her participation in the 200-meter Individual Medley concluded without a medal following a penalty.
For her part, Nuria Zapata added her second medal by achieving a silver medal in the 100-meter Backstroke event, which adds to the bronze medal obtained in the first session.
Finally, Carolina de Iturbide returned to the winners' podium to receive a bronze medal, which she won in the 100-meter Backstroke event; in her personal total, she now has four medals in this championship: one gold and three bronces. One more day of the Para-swimming discipline remains to be contested, where the Quintana Roo delegation will seek to continue adding medals.
On the other hand, in the overall medal table for the event, Quintana Roo has already registered 18 medals, of which 6 are gold, 5 are silver, and 7 are bronze.
