Quintana Roo, Mexico — The 25N Campaign officially began in Quintana Roo with the launch of “El violentador eres tú,” a proposal that combines rap, Mayan identity, and an urgent call to stop gender violence.

Governor Mara Lezama presented the initiative alongside the artist KillB3at, whose performance marked the start of the 16 days of activism.

25N Campaign: A Call from Mayan Roots

During the event, Lezama highlighted the impact of art as a tool for social transformation and thanked KillB3at for her message that honors the strength of women from Mayan culture.

The campaign aims to make visible the violence faced by women and girls, promoting community accompaniment as an effective form of protection and support.

Through the official hashtag #NoEsNormalEsViolencia, the Government of Quintana Roo reinforced its commitment to comprehensive care for victims and the promotion of policies that guarantee safe environments.

The day also reminded that every report counts and that state institutions maintain a zero-tolerance stance.

Activities and State Commitment Against Violence

As part of the 25N Campaign, more than 400 activities will be carried out in the 11 municipalities of the state, focused on prevention, attention, and combating gender violence.

Workshops, forums, conversations, and community actions make up the official calendar.

The governor reiterated that, in Quintana Roo, when a woman raises her voice, “we all believe her,” emphasizing that the goal is for all to live free and without fear.
