Youth Congress 2025: Key Issues & Proposals

Chetumal — Councilors from the Electoral Institute of Quintana Roo (IEQROO), led by its president, Rubí Pacheco Pérez, participated in the session of the Ninth Youth Congress of the State of Quintana Roo 2025, held in the legislative chamber of the State Congress.

Accompanying the council president were councilors María Salomé Medina Montaño, Patricia Cortés Pastrana, Nora Leticia Cerón González, and Julio Asrael González Carrillo, as well as the executive secretary, Guadalupe Irma Esquivel Monroy. They witnessed the presentation of proposals and legislative initiatives by the young congressmen and congresswomen.

During the session, topics of great social relevance were addressed, such as inclusive education, digital mental health, technological ethics education, care of the water table, access to drinking water, environmental education, and the preservation of culture, among other axes that seek to strengthen sustainable development and the well-being of the community.

The IEQROO highlighted that its participation in these types of spaces is part of the institutional commitment to the promotion of civic culture and citizen participation, especially among the youth of Quintana Roo, who represent the foundation of a democratic and participatory society.
