A van carrying multiple doses of drugs was confiscated in the Las Torres neighborhood of Playa del Carmen. The van was found concealed in the undergrowth following a distress call about gunfire in the area. The Solidaridad Police were alerted to the situation and quickly responded.

In a subsequent search operation carried out by the Preventive Police, a Nissan Titan model vehicle, believed to be connected to the incident, was discovered. Upon inspection, the vehicle was found to contain three bags of a substance believed to be marijuana, four shell casings, and two cartridges. The seized van has since been handed over to the State Attorney General's Office for further investigation.

This event is the latest in a series of recent incidents in Playa del Carmen, where there have been numerous reports of violence linked to drug trafficking and organized crime. Local authorities are working tirelessly to maintain safety in the area and combat the drug trade.
