Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A Well-Being Fair will take place in Playa del Carmen this week, offering residents and visitors the chance to purchase handmade goods from local artisans at affordable prices.
The event, organized by the municipal government and SEBIEN (the state welfare agency), will be held at Parque Fundadores on March 14 and 15, 2026. It aims to promote businesses run by local artisans and support the “Hecho En Quintana Roo” (Made in Quintana Roo) program.
Schedule and Location
The fair will run from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on March 14 and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on March 15 at Parque Fundadores in Playa del Carmen.
While the event does not include consultation or registration areas for the state government’s social support programs, officials say it will help improve the well-being of local artisans by providing them with a platform to showcase their work.
Products Available
Attendees can expect to find a variety of handmade items, including:
- Artisanal clothing
- Handcrafted shoes
- Handmade bags
- Local food products
All vendors are expected to be participants in the “Hecho En Quintana Roo” program, which gives artisans opportunities to promote their products through government-supported events.
Artisans interested in joining the program or participating as vendors in future fairs should register with “Hecho En Quintana Roo” or contact SEBIEN staff for requirements and participation details.
The fair is part of broader municipal efforts to boost local businesses and economic activity ahead of the 2026 Easter holiday season.
