Playa del Carmen, Mexico — Police in Playa del Carmen arrested a man on suspicion of resisting a vehicle inspection during an operation in the Santa Fe neighborhood on Friday.
Officers from the Playa del Carmen Citizen Security Department stopped a Freightliner 2528 cargo truck that was loading and unloading in the area. According to the official report, the driver refused to comply with police instructions and became aggressive.
Police identified the detained man as Alejandro Antonio N., 36, originally from Tabasco state. Authorities said they followed proper legal procedures and respected his human rights during the arrest. They also secured the vehicle involved in the incident.
Police turned the suspect over to the State Prosecutor’s Office, which will handle the investigation and determine any legal charges.
