Mayor Estefanía Mercado meeting with Finnish and Danish ambassadors in Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen, MX — Municipal President Estefanía Mercado held a meeting this Thursday with diplomatic representatives from the embassies of Finland and Denmark, where they agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in matters of security, responsible tourism, and sustainable development.

The meeting, held in the “Javier Rojo Gómez” hall of the old Municipal Palace, saw the Mayor reiterate her commitment to international cooperation and the global projection of Playa del Carmen as a safe and reliable destination for the growing number of visitors from Nordic countries.

In this regard, she emphasized that tourist safety is an absolute priority for her administration, and she underscored that the municipality operates under international standards to ensure the protection of both visitors and residents.
