Playa del Carmen Mayor: No Trees Will Be Cut in Avenue 10 Upgrade

Playa del Carmen, Mexico — In response to circulating misinformation about the urban renovation of Avenue 10, Playa del Carmen Mayor Estefanía Mercado has categorically denied any intention to eliminate or relocate trees as part of the project. The municipal government emphasized its commitment to environmental preservation and responsible urban development.

Mayor Mercado stated, “Avenue 10 will have more trees, not fewer. Do not fall for fake news. This administration respects the environment and acts responsibly. The renovation plan includes not only upgrades to pedestrian and vehicular infrastructure but also a significant increase in the number of trees.
