Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — The municipal government, through the Institute of Culture and Arts (IMCAP), has announced a summer course titled “Summer Around the World” for children and teenagers, running from August 3 to 14.
Registration opens July 1 through July 10 at three locations: the Cultural Center, the INBAL-affiliated School of Artistic Initiation (EIAA) in Bellavista neighborhood, and the Casa de la Música in Puerto Aventuras. Hours vary by site.

IMCAP Director General Ernesto Santiago Martínez Cuéllar said the course will feature activities based on cultures from Oceania, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Africa. “Students will have fun learning about customs and history through theater, dance, arts, and music,” he said.
At the Cultural Center, the course is open to ages 7 to 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The EIAA location serves ages 6 to 17, also from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. At Casa de la Música in Puerto Aventuras, classes run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for ages 6 to 15, focusing on music, singing, and storytelling in the Maya language, with a Central and South American theme.

Requirements for registration include copies of the child’s birth certificate, the parent or guardian’s official ID, and two passport-sized photos. For more information about the Puerto Aventuras location, contact 9841814474 via WhatsApp.
