Jungle Charity Race in Playa del Carmen Supports Youth

Participants running in the Disfrutemos la Jungla III charity race in Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen, Mexico — The charity race “Disfrutemos la Jungla III” will take place on March 15 with the goal of raising funds for youth training.

The race aims for participants to appreciate the beginning of the jungle in Playa del Carmen through an athletic route, promoting the care of natural resources.

Vladimir González Arana, a sports promoter and founder of Vladi Maratón, invited the public to this third edition, which seeks to collect funds to continue training the youth of Playa del Carmen and create a social environment of sustainability with the elements of the city’s ecosystem.

Route Details for Disfrutemos la Jungla III

“It starts at the departure point and the finish line is where the urbanization and the jungle divide in the city of Playa del Carmen, where the original paths are still preserved because the city has evolved a lot, everything has been paved, and here they run that very precious route in two distances, 5 and 10 kilometers. It is a pleasure to be in this race, the atmosphere, the place, the trees, the wild animals that can be observed, the birds, the nature. All with respect to the natural environment,” explained González Arana.

The event will be held on Grijalva Street, in the Torres de la Paz neighborhood, southwest of Playa del Carmen, where the jungle area near Río Secreto, Xcaret, and the recently declared Felipe Carrillo Puerto protected natural area begins, close to the Calica lands.

The distances are 5 and 10 kilometers with registrations available through various social media channels and online at khronometraje.com.

Vladimir González was a high-performance athlete in athletics a few years ago, representing Quintana Roo and Playa del Carmen on several occasions in national and international events.

He currently promotes young sports talents, keeping them away from drugs and bad habits. He also works with adults with the intention that, through sports practice, they improve their health system to avoid falling into sedentary lifestyles and the diseases that come with it.
