Chetumal Event Draws Thousands and Boosts Local Economy
Chetumal, Quintana Roo — More than four thousand people enjoyed the “Paseo Héroes edition Revolución Musical,” held this past weekend on the emblematic Avenida de los Héroes in Chetumal, with the participation of 150 exhibitors and presentations by talented local artists.
The “Paseo Héroes edition Revolución Musical” took place on Saturday and Sunday, and attendees, both locals and tourists, enjoyed the presentations as well as the wide variety of products offered by exhibitors, including home products, accessories, crafts, beauty items, footwear, clothing, food, beverages, handicrafts, and embroidery, among many other articles.
The event featured participation from students of the Autonomous University of the State of Quintana Roo, with the presentation of the project “Cultural Tourism: Preservation, Development and Community,” a space with activities to promote and disseminate the cultural and historical wealth of the state capital.
The activities “Feria del Caribe,” “Camino de los Dioses,” and the Turibus “Los secretos del Barrio Mágico: Un viaje entre murales” were also developed.
This edition saw the addition of business organizations such as Canaco, Coparmex, Canirac, the Hotel Association, and the Federation of Tourism Chambers of Central America (Fedecatur) Belize, as well as the Comprehensive Port Administration of Chetumal.
It is estimated that the “Paseo Héroes edition Revolución Musical” generated an economic impact of up to 600,000 pesos.
Yensunni Martínez Hernández, municipal president of Othón P. Blanco, thanked all municipal areas, entrepreneurs, institutions, organizations, and people who made this edition a complete success, as well as the citizens who have embraced this event and consolidated it as a symbol of identity for the capital of Quintana Roo.
She expressed that Paseo Héroes is an event that was born in the first period of this administration thanks to the union and combined efforts of everyone, always counting on the support of Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa, with whom they work strongly so that the state capital and the entire municipality of Othón P. Blanco shine with much more strength.
