Paamul Art Show Debuts to Supoort Local Creativity and Community Causes

Paamul Art Show 2025

Paamul, Quintana Roo — A new cultural event is set to make waves along the Riviera Maya this December, blending art, architecture, and philanthropy by the sea. The Paamul Art Show will debut on Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14, featuring open-house exhibitions from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

Visitors are invited to spend an afternoon exploring works by Paamul’s own artists alongside guest artists from across the Riviera Maya. The event will showcase paintings, photography, sculpture, and mixed-media pieces displayed within beautifully designed, newly built homes generously provided by the local developer.

Guests can stroll between exhibition spaces, meet the artists, and purchase original works. A portion of all sales will benefit the Rotary Club of Playa del Carmen Seaside, supporting the organization’s ongoing community programs throughout the region.

Art with Purpose: Benefiting Seaside Rotary’s Community Efforts

Founded in 2012, the Rotary Club of Playa del Carmen Seaside serves as a bridge for the English-speaking community to engage in charitable work across the Riviera Maya. The club’s mission centers on improving the daily lives and future opportunities of local children and families through education, health, and infrastructure initiatives.

Since its founding, Seaside Rotary has supported numerous regional nonprofits including KKiS (Keeping Kids in School), Leyendo, El Hongo Community Center, Casa Yoliguani, and DIF Playa del Carmen, among others. Its signature projects include:

  • Feeding the Future, providing two meals a day to more than 70 children in a marginalized Playa del Carmen community school.
  • Clean Water Projects, installing filtration and solar-powered systems to ensure safe drinking water in rural schools.
  • Kicks4Kids, distributing proper footwear to children in need across the Riviera Maya.
  • The Big 6, a large-scale medical equipment initiative delivering over $3 million USD in supplies to hospitals across southern Mexico.

Members also volunteer alongside municipal agencies and NGOs for park beautification, hepatitis testing, beach clean-ups, and family assistance programs.

This event isn’t just about art—it’s about connection,” said Dr. Margaret Smyth, Seaside Rotarian and Paamul resident. “We encourage all local and regional artists to participate.
