Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo — One man died and two other people were injured Wednesday morning when a Nissan Frontier pickup truck rolled over on Federal Highway 307 near the Puerto Morelos-Cancún stretch.
The accident occurred around 9 a.m. near Bahía Petempich, prompting police officers and emergency crews to respond to the scene.
According to initial reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle while taking a curve, causing it to overturn onto the median. The truck was carrying several workers, and some passengers were thrown from the vehicle on impact.
Firefighters and paramedics from Puerto Morelos confirmed that one of the occupants had already died at the scene. The two injured workers were rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Traffic on the highway was disrupted until the overturned truck was removed from the area.
