The administration of Mayor Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz of Puerto Morelos has awarded three contracts worth a total of 20.295 million pesos to a company established by Juan Arturo Contreras Mercader. Contreras Mercader is a notary who was granted his license under the previous state administration.
His company, Ramco Servicios Integrales, a trading firm, was awarded contracts for three public works projects in the municipality of Puerto Morelos in May. The contracts, identified as MPM-SOSPM-DGOP-FAISMUN-001-2024, MPM-SOSPM-DGOP-FAISMUN-002-2024, and MPM-SOSPM-DGOP-FORTAMUN-002-2024, granted the following amounts to Contreras Mercader's company: 3.695 million pesos, 4.036 million pesos, and 12.662 million pesos, respectively.
The projects include paving works, signage placement, and leveling in Leona Vicario, as well as a paving project in the La Fe neighborhood of Puerto Morelos. The contractual relationship and decision-making process began on May 3. The projects are expected to be completed by August 31, 2024.
