New Tulum Hotel to Boost Tourism With Concerts and Creative Spaces

UMusic Hotel and Beach Club in Tulum

Tulum, Quintana Roo — The UMusic Hotel & Beach Club will open its doors in the first week of December 2026 as part of a partnership aimed at strengthening culture, tourism, and economic activity in Tulum through concerts, music production, events, and dedicated spaces for artists and creators.

The project brings together UN Tourism, UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle, and Mexican developers Inmobilia and Thor Urbana, and is linked to the Tulum Renace initiative, a federal government program designed to boost the destination’s economic outlook through sustainable tourism and cultural investment.

The centerpiece is the new 57-room UMusic Hotel & Beach Club, which will feature a beach area with capacity for 800 people and an integrated creative center.

Concerts, Film and Multimedia Content

But the project is not focused solely on lodging. The developers intend for the space to serve as a platform for concerts and live events, as well as music video production, film, and multimedia content in Tulum. It will also foster collaborations among artists, producers, designers, filmmakers, and digital creators, along with brand partnerships and original content produced in Tulum.

The initiative aims to extend beyond the hotel itself. The partners plan to develop a year-round calendar of events that can be spread across different parts of Tulum, with the goal of driving tourism and attracting visitors beyond the traditional high seasons.

According to the project, the goal is to make Tulum not just a place where tourists and artists come to enjoy events, but also a space where culture can be created and produced. To that end, the hotel will include recording studios, content production facilities, and collaborative creative spaces where musicians, filmmakers, producers, and other creators can develop and present new work.

Artist Residencies and Zamna Partnership

In a later phase, the project also plans to offer artistic residencies, allowing musicians and creators to stay in Tulum for extended periods to work on their projects.

One of the first strategic collaborations announced is with Zamna, a music platform founded in Tulum that is internationally recognized in the electronic music scene. The alliance aims to strengthen the destination’s international profile through music and cultural experiences.

While the project, scheduled to open in December 2026, is expected to benefit artists, creators, and local businesses, officials have not yet disclosed details on total investment, the number of jobs it will generate in Tulum, or how local talent will gain access to the creative spaces.
