A comprehensive catalog detailing 29 independent cultural venues across Yucatan is now available on the Yucatan Network of Cultural Agents (Reacy) website. These venues, located in the municipalities of Hunucmá, Maxcanú, Motul, Sotuta, Tecoh, Umán, Valladolid, and Mérida, serve as hubs for cultural exchange and community building.

Loreto Villanueva Trujillo, head of the Ministry of Culture and Arts (Sedeculta), described these venues as essential to the cultural fabric of the state. They foster intercultural dialogue, promote inclusion, and strengthen community bonds through art and culture.

The catalog was developed as part of the ACCIORAMA: Performing Arts Program for Professionalisation and Audience Development, funded by the Federal Ministry of Culture's Support to State Cultural Institutions (AIEC). Sedeculta initiated the project in 2021, aiming to map, document, and share information on active independent performance venues in the state.

The project was collaborative, with venue managers playing an active role in identifying the unique features, strengths, challenges, and management strategies of each venue.

The catalog was unveiled at an event held at Efímero – Art in Transit, located on Colón Avenue. It includes a variety of venues such as black boxes, intervention spaces, multipurpose rooms, arenas, and Italian-style venues. These venues offer personal dialogue and attention to the audience, contributing to the community's economic strength through a constant flow of dramatic production.

The catalog serves as a networking tool, helping to publicize the places where performing arts are developed in Yucatan. It stimulates interest from artistic, public, and private organizations across various sectors, and is available on key platforms for management, promotion, and cooperation within the sector nationwide.

Among the venues included in the catalog are Tumàka´t studio + residence, Casa Circo, Tapanco Cultural Centre A.C., Fuera de Centro, Murmurante Teatro, El Teatrito – Centro Investigación Escénica, Cenzontle Cultural Forum, Curioso Circo, Teatro Casa Tanicho, Comala, Yol-Izma, Imagine and “Iin ki kalante” Cultural Centers, and “Carlos Acereto”, La Camarita, Pedrito “Titeradas”, Yucatán, and La Rendija theaters. Also featured are La Vida Buena: Art, Culture, and Gastronomy Center, Creative Space La Nube, Casa de la Cultura Maya “Nachi Cocom”, and Sede.
