Playa del Carmen, Mexico — A motorcyclist sustained multiple bodily injuries after being struck by a taxi at the entrance to the Punta Estrella subdivision. The incident occurred when the taxi driver failed to yield at a stop sign, causing the two-wheeled vehicle to impact the side of the taxi.

The event took place around 6:00 in the morning. The driver of a taxi from the Lázaro Cárdenas del Río union, with the number 1764, exited Avenida de las Cruces without caution and crossed into the path of traffic on Avenida CTM. A motorcyclist traveling on a white, Suzuki 150 motorcycle was unable to brake in time and collided with the side of the taxi.

The impact caused the motorcycle to be projected forward, skidding several meters along the roadway, while the rider fell onto the pavement. Paramedics from the Red Cross provided first aid to the injured person and assessed his condition. Fortunately, he did not require transportation to a hospital.

The taxi driver utilized his insurance provider to reach an agreement for the repair of damages.
