Motorcyclist Injured in Crash Near Playa del Carmen’s Palmas 1 Neighborhood

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries early Tuesday after losing control of his bike near the Palmas 1 residential area, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. when the rider, for reasons still under investigation, lost control of the motorcycle and was thrown onto the pavement, according to officials at the scene.

Passing motorists called 911 after spotting the injured man, who had visible wounds and blood on his body. Traffic police and security personnel arrived to cordon off the area and direct vehicles while emergency crews worked.

Paramedics provided pre-hospital care at the scene and then transported the victim to a hospital for further evaluation. The motorcycle was seized by authorities pending an investigation to determine responsibility.

Officials have not released the victim’s identity or an update on his condition.
