Mérida, Yucatán — The night of November 13, 2025, will be etched into the memory of the International Fair of Yucatán X'Matkuil as an authentic explosion of Latin rock. Molotov, with three decades under their belt and the same irreverence that took them to the top, ignited the Centro de Espectáculos Montejo before thousands of fans who made every corner of the venue vibrate.
From the first drum beat, the city felt the roar of the band. Unfiltered and with the force that has defined them for 30 years, Miky Huidobro, Paco Ayala, Randy Ebright, and with Jay de la Cueva, of Moderato, took the stage to demonstrate that the passage of time has only sharpened their rebellious spirit.
"Gimme the Power" was a sonic ritual that made the audience jump, as did the massive chorus of "Frijolero" and the incendiary energy of "Voto Latino," anthems that wove a bridge between generations and ignited the flame of Spanish-language rock.
For nearly two hours, the TXXXR 30 Aniversario Tour deployed an unrelenting power: cutting riffs, vibrant bass lines, and visuals that enveloped the audience in an immersive experience. The sound, precise and devastating, took advantage of every acoustic centimeter of the Centro Montejo, confirming its status as one of the most important venues in the southeast.
This concert in Mérida was one of the last stops before the tour continues through Mexico and South America, heading towards its monumental closing on January 31, 2026, at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City. It was a night that reaffirmed Molotov as a pillar of Latin rock and served as a reminder that their message remains as relevant as it was three decades ago.
