Tulum, Quintana Roo — Mexican Air Force planes have arrived in Tulum to participate in an unprecedented aerial show and NASCAR racing event scheduled for late April, Governor Mara Lezama announced on social media.

The aircraft will be part of a combined military aviation and motorsports spectacle at Tulum International Airport on April 25-26, 2026, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Central Time (UTC-6).

The event will feature aerial maneuvers alongside competitions from the NASCAR Mexico Series on a temporary oval track constructed within the airport facilities.

The schedule includes qualifying trials and aerial displays with parachuting and precision maneuvers on Saturday, followed by the main Tulum 100 race on Sunday, a massive aerial show by the Mexican Air Force, and the awards ceremony.

Attendees will also have access to an entertainment area with activities, exhibits, and food options as part of an effort to position the event as a comprehensive tourist attraction for the Mexican Caribbean.

The arrival of the aircraft marks the beginning of preparations for what organizers hope will become a major tourism and entertainment draw for the region.
