Cozumel, Mexico — Colombian singer Manuel Turizo will headline the Cozumel Carnival 2026 with a star concert, officials announced on Saturday. The event marks the 152nd anniversary of one of the Mexican Caribbean’s most iconic festivals.
Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and Cozumel Mayor José Luis Chacón Méndez presented the official lineup, highlighting the carnival’s role as a driver of local identity, social cohesion, and economic activity for the island.
Turizo’s concert is scheduled for February 16 at the APIQROO facilities, where he will perform his biggest hits for residents and visitors. The announcement positions the carnival as a major cultural and tourist attraction both nationally and internationally.
“This February 16, @ManuelTurizoMTZ will have us singing ‘déjala que vuelva…’ at Cozumel’s big party,” Lezama posted on social media. “Get ready for a night full of music, dance, and pure Caribbean vibes. Don’t miss it!”
The Cozumel Carnival will run from February 11 to 18, featuring parades, floats, cultural activities, and family events. The festival reinforces Cozumel’s status as one of Mexico’s top destinations.
