Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A man died on a street in the Pescadores 2 neighborhood after residents heard him shouting for help and found him lying on the pavement with blood around him.
The incident occurred on Calle Patos at its intersection with Avenida Sur, where neighbors heard the cries and went outside to see what was happening. They spotted a man on the ground, apparently injured and with traces of blood.
After several minutes, the shouting stopped, prompting residents to call emergency services.
Paramedics who responded confirmed that the man, identified as César P. C., had already died. State police officers cordoned off the area and notified the relevant authorities to begin the investigation.
Preliminary reports indicate the man had a wound and apparent signs of violence, although it is not yet clear what exactly occurred or how he was injured.
Relatives arrived at the scene and identified the body. It will be transferred for legal procedures and later returned to the family.
Authorities are investigating the case to determine whether it was an attack and to establish the precise cause and circumstances of the death.
