Police arresting a man with drug packets in Cancún

Cancún, Quintana Roo — Officers from the Secretariat of Citizen Security arrested a man and seized several small packets of suspected drugs that he was carrying hidden. The incident occurred when officers were patrolling the city streets.

While driving on Rancho Viejo Avenue at 140th Street, in superblock 236, they observed a man handling transparent plastic bags.

Upon inspection, they located 145 plastic packets, of which 31 bags contained marijuana, 46 contained crystal meth, and 68 contained crack. Additionally, a fanny pack and a cell phone were found on him, so these items and the drugs were confiscated.

After informing him that possessing prohibited substances is a crime, the officers detained Yerandy “N”, along with the evidence, and presented him to the State Attorney General’s Office for the crime of drug dealing, where an investigation file will be opened to determine his legal status.
