Tizimín, January 1, 2026 — During the traditional vaquería in the municipality of Tizimín, Leobardo May and Carlos Cetzal created a significant moment by announcing their marriage engagement.
The event occurred as part of the activities for the Reyes Fair, while the orchestra Juan Torres y su Trombón de Oro, one of the most representative groups of the genre, was performing.
In the presence of attendees and participants of the event, Leobardo May took the floor and made the formal proposal to his partner, Carlos Cetzal, with whom he has maintained a relationship for nine years.
The response was affirmative, which generated applause and positive reactions from the present audience.
