A massive crocodile measuring over 2 meters long caused quite a stir when it wandered into a home in the port of Río Lagartos. The hefty reptile, which weighed approximately 150 kilograms, made its way into the garage of local tour guide Manuel Marrufo in the early morning hours.
Upon discovering the crocodile under his van, Marrufo quickly contacted the appropriate authorities to ensure its safe capture and return to its natural habitat. Personnel from CONANP, Municipal Civil Protection, and a team of biologists responded to the call.
The crocodile was safely captured and subsequently relocated to a designated release area located between the ports of Las Coloradas and El Cuyo. This incident serves as a potent reminder of the importance of maintaining a safe distance and showing respect towards these creatures to avoid potentially dangerous situations.
