Cancún, Quintana Roo – A Control judge has ordered that José Rafael “N”, alias “El Dóber”, and Valeria Teresita “N”, also known as Arelia “N”, stand trial for their alleged involvement in crimes against health, specifically drug trafficking. The judicial ruling represents progress in actions against criminal groups in the tourist zone.
The events occurred on December 22 on Kukulcán Boulevard, at kilometer 4.5, where authorities intercepted the vehicle in which the now accused were traveling. During the inspection, various quantities of marijuana and cocaine were seized, in addition to a handgun-type firearm with magazines and cartridges, along with 213,370 pesos and 5,300 US dollars.
José Rafael “N” was ordered to stand trial for possession of marijuana and cocaine with intent to supply, while Valeria Teresita “N” faces charges for possession of marijuana. As precautionary measures, “El Dóber” will remain in justified preventive prison, and Valeria Teresita “N” must wear an electronic bracelet and comply with house arrest.
The Prosecutor’s Office highlighted that José Rafael “N” is a priority target of the State’s Criminal Atlas and is linked to a criminal group generating violence in the municipality.
