Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — Hundreds of families gathered in Ciudad Mujeres for the Soy Isla Mujeres 2026 Carnival parade, a vibrant celebration of island identity and tradition organized by the municipal government.

The parade began on Gastón Alegre Avenue, where carnival contingents set off amid applause and enthusiasm, marching to the Ejidatarios Plaza parking lot. The route became a meeting point for residents who came out of their homes and businesses to greet participants.

Traditional carnival groups filled the streets with music, color, and joy, reaffirming the carnival as one of the most anticipated and significant festivities for Ciudad Mujeres families.

Carnival Kings waved from their floats to families along the route, emphasizing the importance of peaceful coexistence and strengthening community bonds through culture and traditions.

More than 20 floats participated in the parade, each decorated with inspiration, creativity, and vibrant colors that energized the atmosphere and showcased the talent and enthusiasm of those who made the carnival possible.

Each float and group delivered a message of joy and unity, turning the event into a true celebration for the Continental Zone.
