Isla Mujeres. Isla Mujeres celebrated with great joy the beginning of the Patron Saint Festivals in honor of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, with the traditional descent of the virgin.
The Municipal President, Atenea Gómez Ricalde, led these Patron Saint Festivals alongside parish priest Rafael González Guzmán, participating with much devotion in the mass and procession, which took place on Rueda Medina Avenue.
At the conclusion, in the Municipal Esplanade, where hundreds of island families gathered, a fair and cultural program was held, full of color, magic, and tradition.
Personnel from various areas of the Isla Mujeres City Council, including Civil Protection, Citizen Security, Inspection, and Public Services, were attentive at all times, ensuring the safety of the hundreds of parishioners who participated enthusiastically in this celebration.
During the evening, the Ambassador of the Patron Saint Festivals, Estrella Pat, was also crowned, who will proudly represent the people of Isla Mujeres with identity in these festivities that take place every year to honor the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception.
The activities, which include Guilds, Eucharistic celebrations, cultural programs, and vaquerías, will extend until December 8.
