Volunteers Wanted for Caribbean Culture Festival in Mexico

The Institute of Culture and Arts of Quintana Roo is seeking young volunteers to join activities surrounding the Caribbean Culture Festival, scheduled to take place from November 26 to 30 this year in the Mexican Caribbean.

The “Juventudes Esperanza” call specifies that applicants must be between 18 and 29 years old; have the desire to be part of a team and collaborate in organization; commitment throughout the entire event; and a good disposition to learn and contribute.

Selected youth will support logistics and organization of the Caribbean Culture Festival; they will be present in welcoming and accompanying the public and artists, as well as collaborating in cultural and artistic activities.

The municipalities with available volunteering are Othón P. Blanco, Felipe Carrillo Puerto, and Benito Juárez, and they have until November 23 to register.

The Caribbean Culture Festival is an event that celebrates Caribbean culture, connects thousands of people, and leaves a mark on history, and it takes place in the 11 municipalities of Quintana Roo; it is a celebration of traditions, music, art, and unity.

Among the incentives for being a volunteer at the Caribbean Culture Festival, the Institute of Culture and Arts of Quintana Roo (ICA) states that they will be part of something big: they will help coordinate a festival that millions of people will enjoy, and they will learn from experts in the cultural, organizational, and events fields.

Also, they will be close to the action, experiencing the festival from the inside, with exclusive access to activities and events; they will develop valuable skills from teamwork to leadership and event management.

In addition to connecting with incredible people, making new friends and networks that can open doors for their future; obtaining curricular recognition by receiving a Certificate of Participation.
