Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — The Municipal Institute of Culture and Arts of Playa del Carmen (IMCAP) has opened registration for the 2026-2027 cycle of its art workshops at the Centro Cultural, the INBAL-affiliated School of Artistic Initiation and the Casa de la Música in Puerto Aventuras.
More than 200 students are expected to continue their artistic training this cycle, which adds new workshops such as ukulele and songwriting.
IMCAP Director General Ernesto Santiago Martínez Cuéllar said Mayor Estefanía Mercado considers artistic and cultural training a key first step toward building a citizenry that is interested and engaged in culture.
