“Beach Conservation Urgency: Hotel Owners Demand Action!”

Hotel proprietors in Cancún, Puerto Morelos, and Isla Mujeres are advocating for a comprehensive beach maintenance strategy and budget. The need for such a plan is particularly crucial during the hurricane season.

Jesús Almaguer Salazar, the president of the Hotel Association, underscored the significance of this maintenance. The goal is to establish a trust involving multiple associations and organizations. This trust will aim to guarantee the preservation and cleanliness of the beaches, thereby preventing the degradation of these vital natural resources.
