PLAYA DEL CARMEN – The attack against the commercial sector of Playa del Carmen continues after armed subjects shot at the facade of a restaurant located in a commercial plaza.

According to preliminary information, the attack took place around 5:00 pm on Saturday evening at a seafood restaurant located on 125th Avenue between Avenues 36 and Constituyentes.

Witnesses told authorities that several shots from a firearm were heard.

Apparently the attackers approached on a motorcycle in front of the building and fired several shots, hitting only the façade. No injuries or deaths were reported.

Upon arrival, the agents of the Municipal and Ministerial Investigations Police found several bullet holes in the wall, The Ministerial Police carried out the corresponding procedures.

The person in charge of the business said he did not know the motive for the attack.
